April 18th, 2012

Sino-Japanese Rice Mutant’s Profound Use Seminar was hosted by Laboratory Chief Dr. Qianqian of Rice Biology National Key Laboratory of CNRRI. Dr. Matsuokas Makoto from Nagoya University and four distinguished Rice Genetic Breeding Scholars attended the seminar. A dozen young researchers from CNRRI and related institutes of CAAS took part in the seminar and engaged in important discussions on mutant screening of rice yields, molecular mechanism of rice yields control, design breeding of rice yields, germplasm innovation, and the like. Researchers also exchanged views on future cooperation.

The seminar provided young rice researchers with updated information about important research progress at home and abroad, further linked the two sides at high yield gene molecule polymerization, and enhanced collaboration on rice issues of mutual interest.
