Research Area
Rice (Oryza Sativa) feeds more than half of the worlds’ population. Studying the function of rice seed development-related genes is of great importance to fit the needs of food security in China. The Rice Seed Development lab in CNRRI is dedicated to study the following areas:
(1) the functional characterization of rice seed-specifically expressed transcription factors;
(2) the epigenetic regulatory network in rice seed development;
(3) the roles of long non-coding RNA in rice seed development regulation.
