Education Background

Li Chunsheng, received his BSc degree (1997) in Crop Genetics and Breeding from Nangjing Agricultural University, China, and his MSc degree (2009) in Agriculture Technology Extension from Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS).

Professional experience

Li is the director of Experimental Farm, CNRRI. He has been working on rice genetics and breeding since 1997 and achieved one Ministerial Prizes of Agricultural Science and Technology. He has developed 5 hybrid rice varieties and 4 rice products, got 2 patents authorized in China, and published more than 20 scientific papers.

He had been in charge of the operation of Zhejiang Guodao High-tech Seeds Co. Ltd, which is affiliated to CNRRI, as Chief Executive Officer during 2005-2013. Now, he is the Deputy Chair of Zhejiang Seed Industry Association and Executive Member of Zhejiang Rice Industry Association.
