Education Background

 

He achieved his Bachelor’s degree of Plant Pathology from South China Agricultural University (1985), his PhD of Plant Pathology and Biological Control from Hunan Agricultural University (2004).

 

Research Area

 

He is the director of Rice Pathology Lab of CNRRI. His interesting fields include the occurrence, epidemiology and management of rice diseases, such as blast, sheath blight, rice spikelet rot disease and bacterial panicle blight of rice. Biological control and R & D of bioagents are also his research focuses.

 

He has gained several awards of provincial and ministrial level, six national patents for invention. Five scientific books as editor in chief, and eleven books as participating author were published. He has published more than 100 scientific articles in the journals in China and outside China.
