Education Background

Chen Mingxue, a food chemist, received his BSc degree in Horticulture (1994) from the Hunan Agricultural University, China, and his MS degree in Food Chemistry (1998) from the Southwest Agricultural University, China.

Research Area

He's the Deputy Head of Rice Product Quality Supervision & Inspection Center of Ministry of Agriculture. He is also a council member of Zhejiang Analysis and Testing Association. His Research focuses on how chemicals and pollutants. Transfer environmental media into rice by combining analytical chemistry, ecology and genetics. His focus has been mainly on arsenic and cadmium, but other trace elements (copper, selenium and lead) and pesticide residues are also of interest. He has published more than 30 scientific papers.
