Education Background

 

Fang Fuping received his BSc degree (1993) in Crop Cultivation from Zhejiang Agricultural University, China, his MS degree (2002) in Agricultural Economy from Zhejiang University, China, and is pursuing his PhD degree from 2012 in Agronomy from Huazhong Agricultural University, China.

 

Research Area

 

He is the leader of Rice Economy Inovation Team of CNRRI. This research team is primarily composed of the experts in rice production, agricultural economics and statistics. The main research area of this team is the economic evaluation and policy innovation for the sustainable development of rice production in China.

 

He serves as the principal investigator of fifteen national and ministerial projects, such as the “Ecological compensation of rice production in China” of National Science Foundation. He has won two S&T progress awards of Zhejiang province in 2010 and 2011, and one S&T achievement award of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2010. He has published 30 scientific papers.
